June 2020 Limited Return to Sailing
A limited return to sailing is possible for independent skippers with Covid 19 safety procedures developed in close co-operation with Spinnaker Sailing Club.
May 2019 Two new Hansa 303 Boats Launched
We launched two new Hansa 303 boats. Crane acquired from donations raised by Crane Valley Golf Club, where Val Stevens is an active member and her fund raising prompted Stuart Rennie the Captain to nominate NFS as his charity of the year and he has also since become an active NFS volunteer. Pauline was donated by Christine Thackray in memory of her sister Pauline an NFS sailor.
November 2017 – Presentation from Ellingham & Ringwood Agricultural Society
A cheque for £500 was presented by Michael Lingam-Willgoss, awarded by Ellingham & Ringwood Agricultural Society. The Cheque was received by Mary White on behalf of the New Forest Trustees. (See photo)
July 2017 – Presentation from the Ringwood and District Ex Tablers Club
A cheque for £500 was presented by the Ringwood and District Ex Tablers Club to NFS on Monday 10th July. (See photo here)
Eric Blythe and Peter Coulson were there to accept the cheque on behalf of the NFS Trustees. The event was held at Spinnaker and Pete showed some of the guests around our fleet of 303 dinghies and explained how Sailability helps our sailors enjoy the benefits of sailing. Ian Stockdale organised the BBQ and presentation event.

Martin Hadley took part in ‘Race 2 the Games’, sailing 33Km up the river Clyde in ‘Gannett’ in this special race for 303’s. What a great event!

February 2012 – Poulner Players Gala Evening
NFDS made £764 from ticket sales, raffle and the bar, helped by a good discount on the food and drink from Sainsbury’s.
Poulner Players also give us their Front of House profits for the week. This amounted to just over £854 ,which is then matched by Barclays Bank to the tune of £750! This makes a total of £2368. Amazing!
Mary thanks all who helped her on the night, making sure that it was a great and very profitable evening.
